White PaperA Poem by KittBlank pages lay before me The pearly white background With its blue bars to hold down the white There’s even a red line It runs the other way It thinks its self special It’s strict It tell the pen its limits It’s a warning Maybe this page is more than we think A pen touching the paper See the spaces giggle They’re tickled by my words And grateful for the attention But the blue bars carry the heavy burden They hold the weight of the words They must remain stable They are my guide And if the burden is too much I’ll turn to a new side © 2013 Kitt |
