She is beautiful like raindrops she is
sharp as the hipbones jutting out from her skin she
is nails painted black but faded because her mother
wanted them to be brighter she
is starving from the outside in she is
nothing without the addition of sunlight and if you
place her on the windowsill she
will grow like a voice, aching and rich with
future.
