Heartache

Heartache

A Chapter by Kaity Fisher

I'm so glad you made time to see me.

Been a long time since I've been this happy.

You promised me you wouldn't leave me.

You swore you understood who I am.

I gave you all my love.

But all you gave me was goodbye.

Guess I've changed my own mind.

You took my hand,

And led me down the wrong path.

I'm broken but still I have to say.

Let the rain fall down,

And wash away these memories.

Let the wind blow hard,

And disguise the pain.

Let your hollowed out heart,

Burn and die in your chest.

Cause loving you is hopeless.

It's not fair, the way you treat me.

You lied to me and played me.

You had the audacity to betray me.

Your love was nothing but a game.

At this point, I don't know if

I've moved on and getting better,

Or just used to the betrayal and pain.

You took my hand,

And led me down the wrong path.

I'm broken but still I have to say.

Let the rain fall down,

And wash away these memories.

Let the wind blow hard

And disguise the pain.

Let your hollowed out heart,

Burn and die in your chest.

Cause loving you is hopeless.

Is this what you wanted all along?

To see me suffer and burn?

To live in a lonely world, all alone?

Guess I got what I deserved.

Let the rain fall down,

And wash away these memories.

Let the wind blow hard,

And disguise the pain.

Let your hollowed out heart,

Burn and die in your chest.

Cause loving you is hopeless.
