The Other Side

The Other Side

A Chapter by Kaity Fisher

Running across a broken bridge

Above a pit of flames.

Your fire-breathing dragon,

Chasing us, not far behind.

You lay back in your lair,

The ice heavy in your soul.

Watching as the dragon catches up.

Trapping me in your castle.

What are you going to do?

Now that your slave

Has been slaughtered?

That’s okay.

I may be dead,

Like you were to me.

But, don’t you worry.

I’ll be sure to repay the favor

And haunt you from

The other side.
