-Terra Nota-

A Poem by Sara Anne

Brave explorer.
I am the new world,
and you stake your claim to every inch of me.
Chart the map of my body with your perfect mouth,
miles of smooth alabaster skin.
The rise and fall of my chest,
like the rhythm of waves against the shore.
You've been to distant shores before,
conquered other lands.
A skilled cartographer.
But my topography is different,
you knew it so completely and without question.
You knew I felt like home.

This feels like a love poem in disguise. A haunting description of a new lover and the quest of discovery (at least that is what I am getting from it). Wonderful piece!

It's always comforting to find your way home. I like how this played out. Thank you.
