The Shoe!A Poem by Thomas FitzgeraldThis is the response to a challenge laid down by none other than my dear sweet friend Muse - I do hope I didn't dissapoint! This blasted tyrant with corest holds, A memory longs for times of old, When feet were fit for the sofest ground, Dear women thread without a sound.
Animals hide does sheath the rough soles, Merry men wash dirt into hollow bowls, Pesky pins never far from needle friends, Arch's soften to house slight softened bends.
Jimmy Choo works more and more fast, Within leather moulds the jail is cast, High heels for some and flat for few, Damn the dreaded bright leather shoe! © 2012 Thomas FitzgeraldAuthor's Note
