Feared.

Feared.

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A look into the mind of me, the writer.

"

Tension yeilded to pains of pleasure,

Anger smooths the veins to blue,

Tender hooks leave marks of sorrow,

A slice of heaven shared by few.

Sweet crimson veils eyes of amber,

Plush words fill heads of the naive,

Stars shine bright as heads are tilted,

Run circles round for men's prestige.

Markets tell me no for legends wrote,

Fear leaves the soul laughing fun,

Teeth cross stinking flesh for food,

A silence lets eyes watch the dead run.

Practical sons hate wifes that are forced,

Rough sex slates members cards speared,

The blood quenches tongues the pert,

No team to sign onto in risk of the feared.

I read this and read it again then one more time.I see aa army of midevil soldiers returning from the battle to the market place where they eat and enjoy the seduction of beautifull dancers and even sex with the most sensual of daughters but only for the warriors who have served their kingdom well.Am I close?

I can see you're a well rounded poet and I could lie and say "wow, awesome poem." and leave it at that, but I'm just not sure what this means apart from some sexual overtones. You are very good though which is my first instinct and I'm thinking there's more here then what the others have said. I suspect symbolism at play.
