Humanity!

Humanity!

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A look into what I see humanity, flaws and all, looks like.

"

She waits in slumber deep and wide open,

Her heart makes silence against wishes,

Female prowess drip's ink of clear blood,

Little cubs do suckle from milk dishes.

His teeth leave pictures in prey to come,

He the father of all fathers this den,

Male dominance a farce to just the one,

Small pups cover the heads of these men.

A demon lurks around lies that be told,

No wings to be had for creatures of might,

Pieced eyes forever searching the ground,

Always wandering at the weak of no fight.

A God stands still for prayers to answer,

Many angels gather near to the faithful,

Solid souls remain with those in the sky,

Immortal even for the hosts of ungrateful.

It confuses me,
It's not your fault I am after all only 12 but it amuses me too
It keeps my mind at edge thinking and slowly not yet but slowly deciphering I like it!
Not too many things confuse me but thats why I like poetry hehe it's confuses me the most:)

Kind of dark. I do see the picture of Satin who lurks for souls and awaits for his prey. There is truth to this passage. I will be reading this again ...........and maybe again. I like something to make me think and this one did.

To really dive into and be open and honest about what goes on in "ones" head is a fabulous journey.
Immortal even for the hosts of ungrateful.
This to me says you've embraced the monsters that lurk witin. They may not be tame.......but you keep them under control. ;)

And the darkness lingers through the unknown but the light addresses all..in the end...whatever that light is...if we can only see it and even the ungrateful can catch a glimpse..some things truly are beyond our reach I believe..as in understanding..blimey..I shall shut up LOL Great poem love xx

Maybe a little difficult to interpret, but I think I can understand what you're trying to say. Humanity...I could go on forever on this one.
Great write!

A great read! I admit, I'm confused. Oh, the humanity! (Sorry; I couldn't help but say that last comment.) Keep up the creativity!
