Faggott!

Faggott!

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A look at the turmoil of my life and the experiences shared by many of this once minority! The struggle is on going, however I think tides have been turned.

"

Little Nancy boy playing with your dolls,

Chubby and quiet, that squeaky voice,
Tease him, ignore him, make him an it,
Little mammy's boy rolling in their Royce.

Awkward adolesent never showers with us,
Crap at all sports, dirty and weird,
Do you all hear what they say about it,
That he looks and speaks a little queered.

F*****g faggott, he sleeps with other men,
Makes us sick to our stomachs, it's wrong,
Our priest says its a mortal sin,
I hope he never looks at my dong.

To all you b******s that bullied that boy,
I forgive you whole heartedly, no tears,
I've come through it stronger and better than you,
I no longer feel for you at all, no fears!

Bravo Mr. Fitzgerald ! Your right..it did make you stronger and it shows in your writing, not just this piece.
I bet some of those people have become more opened minded as our communities continue crack their hearts to see with love..
I myself am a "breeder" ( : loving called this .. (again) Bravo !
……
I came back to add… I have listened to many stories from friends and family..them growing up gay.. how they were harassed by the law, put into places for mental health..because don't you know .. it can be corrected? (joking totally) ..it is not like that now where I live..but to think these things happened to people I love and admire..to hear how they rose above injustice.. well it makes me pretty proud to know them !

Oh, this is sad and yet inspirational Thomas. reminded me of the song, "My Way" by Frank Sinatra. Loved this as much as I loved that one.

You go honey! Seriously so love! It makes me sick that people can be so bullying......people fear what they do not understand and that is not an excuse, just a sad fact of life....there are many things I wish I could abolish, homophobia being one of the ugly list of things!
It makes my blood boil to hear someone say such idiotic things as "I hope he never looks at my dong."............so, because you are gay you are going to fancy every male/female around you then? What a load of bilge! I didn't realise being gay affected your taste too! LMAO
Honey......this is brilliant and I am glad to see/read it, bravo my dear friend, kudos and a hug too! Mwah!

Wow, stand up and be proud! Sometimes I can relate to this, being different just has it's advantages and disadvantages. Wonderful. It's truly inspiring, keeping the different ones powerful, and giving them more strength. Wonderful!

Ugh, I feel my stomach twisted. Your poem so telling and graphic, I want to stand up for this boy, I hate injustice.
You end in a magnanimous note that brings some appeasement but thinking about all these little boys I still want to scream.
A pouring tear of a poem (if not for the strong writer, for the empathic reader).

Boy you had it rough growing up Thomas, how can I even respond to this. I had my hard times and it was of a nasty and racist issues but I didn't have to deal with this so I give you all the credit in the world for turning it all into a positive.
