Faggott!

Faggott!

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A look at the turmoil of my life and the experiences shared by many of this once minority! The struggle is on going, however I think tides have been turned.

"

Little Nancy boy playing with your dolls,

Chubby and quiet, that squeaky voice,
Tease him, ignore him, make him an it,
Little mammy's boy rolling in their Royce.

Awkward adolesent never showers with us,
Crap at all sports, dirty and weird,
Do you all hear what they say about it,
That he looks and speaks a little queered.

F*****g faggott, he sleeps with other men,
Makes us sick to our stomachs, it's wrong,
Our priest says its a mortal sin,
I hope he never looks at my dong.

To all you b******s that bullied that boy,
I forgive you whole heartedly, no tears,
I've come through it stronger and better than you,
I no longer feel for you at all, no fears!

Bravo Mr. Fitzgerald ! Your right..it did make you stronger and it shows in your writing, not just this piece.
I bet some of those people have become more opened minded as our communities continue crack their hearts to see with love..
I myself am a "breeder" ( : loving called this .. (again) Bravo !
……
I came back to add… I have listened to many stories from friends and family..them growing up gay.. how they were harassed by the law, put into places for mental health..because don't you know .. it can be corrected? (joking totally) ..it is not like that now where I live..but to think these things happened to people I love and admire..to hear how they rose above injustice.. well it makes me pretty proud to know them !

I've gone through plenty a share of being teased or made fun of all through my childhood. Never really had a friend...but it still sickens me that kids today can be such bullies to other kids, now we have suicide to worry about. I remember seeing a girl being harrased by a bunch of boys and despite being harrased myself afterwards I stuck up for her and they left her alone and went to me. Stick up for other people! Be a friend.

Great write!

I think that, although the ugliness that is directed at gay men and boys is especially horrendous, as though people are particularly horrified by what they see as an aberration, discrimination of any kind causes these same gut-wrenching emotions, and hurts in these same awful ways. Human beings hurt those whom they fear, and what we do not understand we fear. Sad, really...

A very emotive piece.

Wow, that just hit me. I may not have had this exact expirience, but teasing is a horrible thing and I don't believe anyone deserves that kind of treatment. I don't think people need to be judged on looks, on sexual preferences, or anything like that. It's just wrong.
Therefore this is a very powerful piece

Amazing write Thomas

I feel the rage and the angst of your childhood in this poem
It's strong and obvious you feel as if you've been wronged.
But in the end you have such a strong sense of self
and wear it well. Maybe in the end your childhood
made you a better man?

i must say i love this.
the truth in it is gripping
and its well done.
i hate that people have to go trough it.
its something im strongly against, acculy its the only reason ive ever gotten in a fist fight.
but what can i say the jerk deserved it.

There was power behind this piece, but the cussing, and the slang were really distracting.

Indeed, but thank you x
I'm glad to say I don't live in a city where very many people think like this. Very nice, love how the intensity of the words increase the same way reactions to the lifestyle increase the older you get. Fantasimo! :D
