Rock to a Child.

Rock to a Child.

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A look through the eyes of an innocent.

"
Clear running water,
A mountain my home,
My life century long,
My owner a gnome.

A rock to a child,
Peaceful and blue,
Rough to a point,
A pebble to you.

I really like this, Thomas. It seems very much about perception and how it differs from childhood to being an adult. A pebble would be a pebble in an adults hand, wouldn't it? To a child, a huge and heavy rock. I very much like this analogy. Nicely written, my friend.

Nice. It is very innocent and the look from a child eyes is always the true one..Very sweet.

My Grandson of two years old. When he see something new. He said "Wow"'. To have the vision of a child and appreciate the beauty of this world without fear. A outstanding poem. Thank you.

Short, simple, sweet, no other way for this rhyme to come out as.
