I really like this, Thomas. It seems very much about perception and how it differs from childhood to being an adult. A pebble would be a pebble in an adults hand, wouldn't it? To a child, a huge and heavy rock. I very much like this analogy. Nicely written, my friend.
What was the first stanza supposed to be? I'm thinking you were trying to juxtapose the mind of an adult with that of a child? I feel that the true poem doesn't start until the second stanza. But I'm still tryna grasp the first one.
The wonder of a child. I look into their eyes and am amazed at the wonder I see. Oh to go back and see the world through those eyes again. Lovely Thomas!
yep. I remember when little blue rocks blew my mind! Miss those "big" feelings. I believe that if we were all born with the ability to read and write, then children would be the best poets by far. cheers!
To all who know by now - I love you.
For those that don't, I review a lot of work on here, and I expect the same in return, friend me but make sure to have conviction! I'm a horror writer mostly bu.. more..
