Enda.

Enda.

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

For a dearly departed friend.

"
A noble man as a brother,
Kind yet painfully true,
Heard his voice on a cloud,
Take his hand all of you.

Hardworking be a father,
Now that we cannot deny,
But as all in the end,
His soul had to fly.

Kind and stable be an uncle,
Never a truer word spoken,
Yes you have guessed it,
Family's heart were broken.

Enda true as a son,
The hard battle he fought,
His right to heaven he received,
How we wish it's just a thought.

This poem has a real sense of family closeness and true friendship. A beautiful and uplifting tribute for 'a dearly departed friend'. I like the way it ends on a gentle sigh, wishing things could have been different.
