IrelandA Poem by Thomas FitzgeraldMy country, My Mother.
Home to many myths,
Few are rarely true, God is their savior, Hope they bestow in you, Green and lush is their country, Blue and Grey are their sky's, Red apples are their cheeks, Their sweet humble rhubarb pie, Great Atlantic their ocean, Irish sea their waters, Bog land their grail, There cooking in mortar, farming their living, Patrick their saint, Shamrock their emblem, English they 'aint.
