The Sunny South.
A Poem by
Thomas Fitzgerald
An ode to my home-land.
From Wexford to Kilkenny, The outline unseen, Winds of warm nature, The people ever keen. The sunny south they call, The beaches are clean, The warm summer is coming, Eyes with a gleam. Aspiring old Wolfe Tone, A name marked in history, The Slaney deep and blue, Now the end of a story.
