Unwanted Poet

Unwanted Poet

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A look into the mirror!

"
Feeling of no-one,
Doubts in my mind,
Reluctant to stir,
Thoughts are unkind,
Pressures of elders,
Goals in focus,
Wants unheard of,
All hocus pocus,
Mind beckons answers,
Thoughts drawing blank,
Plane of entire misery,
From Billy to Frank,
Hills far away,
Silence he wrote,
A killing stone,
From the angry poet.

Yeah, no one cares much about poets, unless the do something outrageious or die young. Willam Blake ended in a paupers grave with about three people standing there to see him go. And Keats hardly sold a verse when he was alive. Byron of course was a b*****d. Yeah, no one wants us cos we say things that make them uncomfortable, or they are too stupid to understand us.

This is amazing!!!! It has a rambling feel, filled with mystery, and makes you wonder alot. This poem is one people will study for ages, and they might never understand the beauty of it. Wonderful!!!!!!

Easy to read well written piece, that most of us as poets have tendency to think about ourselves one way or another. Nicely done

I am listening, sometimes i feel this way, worry not my friend because in the end, you will have all that is needed to fulfill your life. cyptic chaos and frustration.

Yes, the sentences are simple but the subject is very complex. It takes a better mind than mine to mine the meanings of the rhyme. (sorry, I got carried away). The poem raises many questions: What is feeling of no-one, what doubts, what thoughts, pressures and hocus pocus? And who is Billy and Frank? A good poem, to me, is easy to read and causes us to think. So, this is a good poem.

Your diction is SUPERB, through it was simple no use of complex metaphor this was simply breath taking. Being unwanted is a feeling I know all to well. I LOVE this. GREAT job, i look forward to readin more of your work.
