Funny Death!A Poem by Thomas FitzgeraldThose times when we look back on ones life and can only laugh, within of course!Grey fills my cheeks and settles old scores, Apoptosis in full swing as if to dance and scold, Prepare yourself dear sweet little fellow, For wings carry and claws clasp on the bold. Ah yes, here we are with incense and candle light, Tears abound on lying faces kneeling in the pew, Cantillate my good man have a gesture or two, Arise in time for supper only wine for the few. Short seconds are spared in mud and caskets, Beautiful smiles lay waste to foul rumour, Degust on a banquet not paid for by you, Chuckles of charity for that glaikits humour. Logomachy is so often the case with scholars , What matter now isn't he dead and done, No more sensual please to be leeched on me, Lets face it though sometimes it was fun!
