Apples.

Apples.

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

A new look - enjoy the ride as it were!

"

Binding sights clear water new,

A flash comes close to touch,

Rewind to times gone south dear,

Forever caught in webs so butch.

Cackle hearing across climbs,

Debtors prison laughing high,

Orgies bore with placid ideals,

Example of princes smoking high.

Jokes stab at the picture eight,

Going mad for eyes of voyeur,

Great paints tinned like salmon,

Readers scorn run and cower.

Flaying apples for fun and frolic,

Headlines always speak the truth,

The message for satirists pimples,

Funny how life mirrors the newt.

Your use of language floats across the tongue when read aloud like liquid measures of melted honey caught with bread and mingling in butter....very delicious to pronounce, delightful to contemplate.

Thomas my man!! I thought you fell off the face of the Earth, or at least down a hill in Ireland. I'm glad you're back with your one line pops. This is a great poem. Love the second stanza particularly. Great job.

Thank you, I got back up that hill!
Reads like a view of life ... pimples and all ... and at the same time ... hints at the satirist's delight of words ... and their ambiguity. The best ones obviously ... include ourselves in it. Hi Thomas ... good to have you back!

THank you.
Nicely constructed Thomas. Some deep lines and the emotion was felt.
