February

February

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

Just a piece on our second month!

"

Our second gateway holding on,

Clear night's and wind rustle,

Purification in snow for land,

Now times all hustle and bustle.

She may pass without a full moon,

Darkness blinks in eyes of the plain,

Castor sugar may sweeten all,

Tired hands healed quick in grain.

St. Valentine rules in all cases,

Even the groundhog day pails,

Clicking fingers stripped in essence,

Flight's of birds spend time in rails.

Pisces coloured with light violet,

Embrace all that she is and will be,

February harkens ages of era,

Sleep tight on hills of hardened knee.

A very cold Winter here in Michigan. Most snow and cold in the recorded 100 years. I yearn for a warm days of Spring. Your poem is beautiful and the description of February is true. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Thank you A.
I think you covered all the bases here Thomas, love that last stanza of light violet, how apropos. Not sure what groundhog day pails means, 'pales'? Enjoyed, even though this month so far has given us much snow in my neck of the woods!
