A quick response to my ever optimistic friend! you know who you are!

Horrid Valentine,

How I loath you so,

Roses are dead.

I've never come to understand why a rose is the universal symbol of love on that day or any day. It is but a flower to me. Beautiful, yes. Symbol of love? Who is to say? If I were to think about receiving roses at any point in life, I would have to question what just happened, and if that person has any concept of the meaning of love. I suppose that is open to many interpretations though. Anyways, good read!

This struck me as quite a funny piece! I was expecting a sweet memo of devotion, but I was in for a surprise. Great example of ironical satire.
