Taxation!

Taxation!

A Poem by Thomas Fitzgerald
"

I've been studying for a taxation exam tomorrow - this is what comes to mind!

"

Work hard to garner wages and price,

Sweat builds in drains that spill with crumb,

Handing over cash to slice in even pieces,

The dreaded aftermath on taxed income.

I buy, you buy and we all save for those,

Scrimping we cut from the top sheer acid,

Never mention to those that need not know,

Dear master as you know the there is value added.

Divine times as your company come into force,

Bagger no more I tell you capital infiltration,

Your corner of the sky they say regardless of lifetime,

We all know they will get you that nasty corporation.

I thought shortest cuss word i knew was the well known four letter one but now there's T*X . I don't know half the terms here Thomas and I hope you did well in the exam (last year) but I know a good poem when I see one and this fits the bill precisely. Fabulous!

One of the only two certainties in life, Taxation and how well you have literally defined it !

It took me awhile to understand the poem but after a bit, I understood it. Not that it was difficult to interpret, I guess being someone young makes me skim over things like this. Nice poem!

Yare welcome...:)..............
When the soldiers became king ... and started telling everyone what to do ... they neglected to say that it takes courage to get ahead. A trial and error process has no substitute ... its been that way always ... but the errors are always hard to forget ... which is why we have soldiers. Merry Christmas Thomas.

Thank you and Merry Christmas
The world is becoming overrun with mega-institutions corporate and government both. I would like to see less of them.

The more we know about the economics of our world. The less we like it. I do understand this poem. I work for a large company. Profit over employees. New world is nice. Thank you for sharing your amazing poetry and thoughts.

some lines tripped me up somewhat...but yes, they will get us in the end...and so little of what we earn is kept...
unfortunate truths you bring out in this piece.

It would be nice if more wealth was put towards pro-social programs and quality job creation. So much seems to get stockpiled in the hands of the few.
