I know how others can have such a hard time admitting their feelings to others. Often it is the fear we feel that holds us back. Though I have felt such fear in admitting feelings, when it came right down to it and I was with the woman who has held my heart for 6 years, nothing held me back from saying those three little words.

Now, I tell her every day that, indeed, I do love her.

This is so spot on Thomas. They are the hardest words to utter i find in a relationship especially if you are the first to say them - leaves you open to all sorts.
We get round it by doin or saying other things, other affectionate gestures but nothing can replace The Big Hard One.

Great poem, it says so much with so little. I think love is such a weird thing, because it's different for everyone, and many times we are not loved back, so that's why we fear saying it, but, I don't know, that's just what I think. Great poem though.
