Dance with the DevilA Poem by kishieExhilirating
Pain sufficed by tears,
Why does what I hold dear? Turn against me and suffocate, Every nerve that wants to elevate, So cruel,so bitter,so harsh, Everything he touches turns into marsh, So as bold rehearsed words turn into stammers, Hope into fear of the devil in its matter, Every whim must be heeded to, Or risk being beheaded too, I need a hero, knight in shining armour, One who'll see beyond the pretty face and gather, An ointment to soothe my pain away, Or the revolutionary mind to keep pain at bay, But man heeds his own destiny, Rather than a dimming star in the sky, I should be the constellation thats so high, A pauper turned into royalty will be the headlines, A jump start to lift way above the economic decline, Evil begets evil and down the line bites you in the neck, I've tried way too many times but you're still a pain in the neck, So I'll let it be and not dance with the devil, A princess though not so fair can evade this evil, And live her dream of dancing with angels, Whose elegance will leave many baffled. © 2011 kishie |
