A pirate's lifeA Poem by Kishore ChandranA poem about the life of a pirate.
We sail and sail to the end of the world,
We yearn for silver, gold and pearl. For They mark we thieves and slayers We shall sneak past their sovereign snares From the land of dead to the eastern bays We fight our way through treacherous waves For days, months and years it goes Sea serpents, krakens and massive albatross A pirate's life is not for simple folk A bottle of rum and a piece of pork We drink, we sing, we sleep with w****s Nothing to worry face life as it goes Mothers tell our tales to their small Uncivilized, ruthless, a devil in soul For greed they fight they lore for more Who end up resting on the ocean floor.
