You are my sunshine

A poem about a close friend.

I am blessed to have a friend like you,
Like a braze of light through morning dew,
I'd walk a mile to see you for a while
Killing me the way you look and smile
Everytime I wanna write a word
You my dear, are the first to my world
O' Jesus, thank thee for this
U-turn did my life for joy and bliss
She's the wings to make me fly
Oh she lifts me towards the sky
Make me happy when I'm sad n down
U just pick me up off the ground
Coz ur the sunshine that shines so bright
Hollow was my mind, u made me write

Aah.. this is truly beautiful. The bond of friendship is really above all. It is what makes you feel alive. It is what gives a meaning to your life. The way poet is missing his friend, the longing to meet is very nicely portrayed in these words. The ending has a touch of perfection. Good luck. Happy writing. :)
