When the last teardrop fallsA Poem by DrewWhen the Last Teardrop Falls Lasting love turns to dust Swept away by the winds of change. Forgotten passion withering away With each beat of a broken heart. I turn to face the horizon’s setting sun. Where will I stand tomorrow When the last teardrop falls. Will I stand alone Or wake in the embrace of loving arms. Will tomorrow lift my face With gentle hands And look at me with loving eyes. Will she breath new life into me And lift my sorrow with soft lips. Slowly I step into an unknown A darkness of night that falls apon me. What forth will tomorrow bring Where will I stad When the last teardrop falls.
