ColorsA Poem by KirasoulA dream of poetry colors as the metropolis rushes about around us.What color do I want to be dyed? Spin the roulette, my dear. Take off your Scarlet hairband and let down
your waterfall of Midnight. Can we stop at Black before day? I still
miss the twilight. Walk in straining silence as we wait for
the blurry Yellow streetlights to fade out. Let’s take our first step into Violet dawn
with barefoot glory. Sink into the embrace of our mother Blue
sky, Wash our faces with the towels of drifting
Grey clouds, And smile as the solar-Golden sun brush our
hair to caress our faces. Yell with me as we fall back to the sea,
tropical schools spiraling around, As the saltwater rushes us to the depth,
then returns us to shore. Hold hands while we run together on the
burning sandy beach, Laughing as we tumble over Emerald grassy
leaves. Our rolls take us before the forgotten forest;
our guide is the Unseen doe. Dancing in swift, skipping in circles, cartwheeling
in sway. Until he takes a sudden leap into maiden
dawn eye; sing your crescendo to the virgin night. For under this curtain of silver stars cry,
our day has come to an end. And as you close your eyes, make a silent
prayer: Let it all, fade back to White. © 2016 KirasoulAuthor's Note
