soul v.s. body

the aftermath of a battle fought within.

    The noises from the world has long since stopped and silence has overtook it.
   
    It was a mighty battle but in the end we both lost.
   
    What battle do I speak of you might ask.
   
    The long forth coming battle between our souls and our bodies of course.
   
    Our spirits wanting freedom had fought the cage that held them.
   
     In doing so they had destroyed themselves and perished taking us with them.
   
     Now with none of the noises of war to fill the silence.
   
     The world lies in peace long fought for.
