Fast glances

Small talk

Long laughter

Quick fall.

He doesn’t realize what his million dollar smile will do to someone.

He doesn’t realize what his melodic laughter will do to someone.

I don’t think he ever will.

I don’t think he will ever understand that I care about him and would never wish harm for him.

He will never see my glances.

He will never know what I think about him

He will never know.

 

So I sit by and watch him whither in pain.

Pain that I can’t help him through.

Pain that only the one he loves will help him through.

But that someone is not me and will never be me.

 

So I sit by and care for him from a far.
