Ship-mate

Ship-mate

A Poem by Kinze
"

A poem meant for thinking/interpretation....

"

He steps in

Close, close

Before I  ever get the chance to run.

Leaning into me, saying nothing through an open mouth

Though it moves, it moves with me--

A wave following the moon..

Cursed to follow this speed, this rhythm

This current that can't keep up with gravity

Back and forth-- to and fro--

Back and forth--on and on--

Rocking like a ship caught up against a rock

Battered by a storm--

When the storm reaches it's height--

fire!

Burning electric fire on this ship that's rocking

Back and forth!

On and On!

Repeat, repeat!

Til the storm's all gone--

The rain washes the fire away

The mess of the ship sees the light of day..
