This world so full of darkness

has shed light so bright

thrilling and fearful

this world no longer fierce

moving, ready once again

to live on

after the darkness became a welcoming friend

sorry to see it go, even for a short time,

i chase it

leaving the oh so bright light behind

searching for the familiar darkness

an enemy that grew closer each night

losing the darkness i'm bathed in light

warmed by the light

noticing the cold that nearly froze me

the dark, a deadly friend

but still familiar

the light balances with the dark

light warming,

sometimes burning

dark friendly,

sometimes deadly

the two meeting as one departs

saying hi and bye

nothing more but nothing less

both dear to me

they will collide one day becoming one

half dark, half light

merging forever in the dark bright sky

never speaking but always together
