The Piper

The Piper

A Poem by KinoNoTabi

Shaken awake

Silence surrounding me, thick enough to breath

No evidence of life

Unbearable silence broken by high pitched screams

A voice calling

Relentlessly commanding wide open eyes

Hearing nothing but the river

Glowing in the dark, calling

Forced to follow all the way to the voice

An enchanted piper standing on rushing water

Free will slipping

Fighting relentlessing for sweet life
