Still Here

Still Here

A Poem by King James
"

Not Going anywhere!

"

Still Here

As I open my eyes to another day of life,

My first thought is how you are living your life.

As I exit my bed I feel so empty,

For you are, but it seems you’re also not with me.

We have destinies to obtain and lives to live,

We have dreams to catch yet much to give.

No longer do I have you to talk with,

And this makes me feel as if you were a myth.

I deeply cherish you and appreciate your tries,

But due to the vastness betweens us you feel otherwise.

I understand the difficulties you face on the receiving end,

Life is like being in the trenches you don't know how or when.

Wars never end until we can overcome,

Or shake off the damage adversaries have done.

You know I'm the one for you but you reconsider,

For this is a war you’ve fought alone, very brutal and bitter.

But I’m here now; let us walk in deliverance,

I'm here to show you I can make a difference,

I Love you and I know you love me,

Still you shun me away and ignore what you see.

But if you open your eyes and reject the fear in you disguise,

You’ll see that these words aren’t lies, yes you’ll finally realize,

You’ll see it all very transparent not tainted just clear,

For I was never gone and still baby I am here!
