Before
Before we ever meet, Before we ever spoke,
Before we cried laughed hugged kissed and choked.
Before we held hands and walked together and fell apart,
Before we ever poured love in each other hearts.
Before you called my name daydreaming of my presence,
Before we carried the knowledge of loves true essence.
Before we harbored the divine power of a relationship,
Before we promised each other never to call it quits,
Before I ever felt your warm breath on my cheek,
Before we ever made our own world through a method called sleep.
Before we unionized the rhythm of our heartbeat.
Before without you I could never smile; just stared at my feet.
Before the word trust thrust itself into our lives,
Before there was an us, even just you and I.
Before the aftermath of life’s unfair resolute imminence,
Before shielding ourselves from each other using masterminded commonsense.|
Before we wished for the quick days and brief nights to live for eternity,
Before we missed each other when we were apart eternally.
Before you left; unwillingly forced out of my life,
Before you were given no choice, no voice regarding your rights!
Before you cried for nights on end and you wished you’d die,
Before I never got the chance to say goodbye.
Before I can save and rescue you from yourself,
Before you didn’t judge me for my looks and wealth.
Before I gave up on life; lacking your presence,
Before the nights turned colder and the days lacked evanescence.
Before I let out my final good bye, when your not around to see me cry,
Before I ask the myself for the one millionth time why,
Before I persisted and gave it my all; giving life one last try,
Before I give up and just let it all die!
