Philia II

Philia II

A Poem by Deos Fortioribus Adesse

Most friendships are like eclipses,
Time and time again, two people would shine together,
But only for a moment,
And forever is just a promise engraved on beach sand,

Most friendships are as fleeting as a gentle wind,
Whispering to leaves on a tree, teasing them with a dance,
And just when they begin to enjoy the sway,
It leaves them as quickly as it came,

So here's to us, still as close as we've ever been,
Like the earth and it's moon,
Eternally side by side,
Standing the test of time.
