Philia

Philia

A Poem by Deos Fortioribus Adesse

I started out as a lone wolf,
The icy winds and harsh temperatures determined to take away my frail existence,
Just before I could relinquish my ailing breath,
Two heavenly bodies would appear before me,
And they would calm the winds and provide me with warmth,
I decided to name one Sun,
For she watched over me during the early parts of the day,
And the other, I called Star,
For she watched over me during the later parts of the day,
I had companions now,
And living became bearable,
This season of comfort and peace to them I owe.

Your thoughts are so open and free, from beginning to end. I hear both peace and endurance. These pieces you write are earthy like prayers. I'm jealous that I don't naturally possess such ease. I'm subscribing so I may learn. Ty for sharing :)

Thank you :) now I'm inspired to put pen to paper again. I really appreciate your comments.
Very interesting. I wasn't sure where it was going, and there it was. Elegance, simplicity, nice rhythm, a little surprise. I like it
