UntitledA Poem by kingfugazi
Hey there, whats that aroma seeping on the people's skin from within
What wafts among their every follicle when goose bumps flair their hair To where do those people's tears fall and what soaks the ground beneath their feet How do they welcome guests or is every stranger an ominous danger Which ways do they offer children as sacrifices to satisfy their vices Can they laugh at decaying bodies, yearn for passionless conflict & only emulate stars Hey! I say, we may ask the wisdom of this way Know well though, it won't regress like a tsunami returning the shore It's the crust of the Earth upon which all our life we built The molten matter fast formed to resist time itself Wraught from the battle fought in which the greatest victory is sought Nay! Truth nor justice can even touch this trophy for which we burn Good or evil, high or low, the greatest treasure is what we learn. 6/18/12 © 2012 kingfugazi |
