Radioactive Humanity

Radioactive Humanity

A Poem by kingblaq
"

Is humanity extinct?

"
Beastly mutations
Monsters everywhere
We set out to modify paradise
See the hell we created
.....

Poisoned beauty
Corrosive essence
Fukushima apocalypse
A mistake worth a thousand years
.....

Lush green desert
Chernubyl wastelands
We ruined nature for our grandkids
But do we really care?

Wrote this after seeing a documentary about the chernubyl n fukushima accidents... Mankind... Are we, humans, a blessing or a curse to earth?

(this piece forced me off my un-official litrary retirement)

Hmm, a thoughtfully provocative condemnation of Mankind, of our progress and blunders. I loved that last verse, particularly for its blunt assertion of how many of us don't care enough to solve these problems that will be left to another future generation.

I can see two arguments here, The first one is that we can do what we like no one is watching us it doesn't matter, the Second one is we are only going to get one chance to make this world good and we are already ruining it. Hopefully though we will get enough time to change our ways, thank you for the great and thought provoking write.

I believe science is a two sided sword. It save the environment and can cause great damage. Coal hurt the air and will cause great damage by poisoning the air in large cities. I don't know. I believe we need to control the population and be kind to nature. Is it possible? I don't know. Writers need to help nature. Remind all people. We need nature more than she need us. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on a important topic.

I have never seen the documentary that inspired you to write this piece, but I would love to now.
This definitely made me think, and thank you for sharing. (:
