Justice

Justice

A Poem by Kine
"

in the midst of strife and suffering in this world, where can one find hope?

"

There is an ache growing inside
I see pain and suffering everywhere
I am still, frozen
Death, violence, injustice all around
None is spared from the chaos of this world
Age, gender, race, creed

I grieve with those who grieve
I plead for those who cannot
My heart grows weary from the looming darkness
For I see no end in sight
Wars wage from within
Friends become enemies

Where are you God when there is no joy?
Where is your shalom?
You said you weep with those who weep
Where are your tears?
Where is your justice, your mercy, your power?

Let me be voice to the voiceless
Let me paint a canvas of peace and hope
In this upside down world
A voice louder than despair and divisiveness
One that redeems and restores
