PRAISE BE!

PRAISE BE!

A Poem by Bill Grimke-Drayton
"

Let us savour what may seem strange and unfamiliar but has a beauty all its own, and perhaps it belongs to us.

"

Praise be to new things,

to make us uncomfortably curious,

wide-eyed

with innocent wonder

and excitement with the beauty

of the unconventional.

Praise be to new waves,

breaking on an open shore,

to run around us

in secret, childlike laughter,

as we savour the pleasure.

Praise be to all that is unbound,

free and light,

for we live there,

without strain or stress,

moving ever onward

to seek and find

what we know is ours.
