SILVER-LIGHT

SILVER-LIGHT

A Poem by Bill Grimke-Drayton
"

An exuberant response to life's pleasures and beauty

"

A sun cuts

through silver-light dust

in free-fall,

moves in and out

like a sprite,

enjoying playful laughter

with dancing.

As the woodland canopy

drips honey and water

onto autumn leaves,

fluttering,

cavorting,

entwined together

into a silken network,

to tumble wantonly

into the receptive bosom

of the vibrant earth.
