i dont know what. love? pain? confusion?

the smells of rain and ciggaretes

rise up from the shadows

and the empty eyes i can tell are

pained inside

its not fair to have to feel like your alone

and i cant understand why i cant say i love you.

This is fabulous. Before I saw the Author's note. I wondered why two color's and then it hit me to read the red only. My next thought was Wow ! ! Two for the price of one. Who says you can't fit a square peg in a round hole ?
This is an ingenious idea.
Now for the typo's.
Line 1........ drop 1 g and add another t in cigarettes

Line 3 and 6........ capitalize the I 's

Line 5 change "your" to you're

This is really cool. Both poems are powerful on their own, and formatting it together makes it interesting to read.
(tiny nitpicks: you're in line 5, and can't (twice) in line 6... unless you're going for the conventions-less idea then never mind)
The last line is great.
