Paralyzed

Paralyzed

A Poem by Kimberly Navarro
"

Have you ever been hurt so bad the pain made you feel paralyzed?

"

I couldn’t think, I couldn’t eat
I couldn’t work, I couldn’t sleep
When I drank, my tears would seep
through my face, my hurt is deep.

I couldn’t breath, I couldn’t smile
I haven’t laughed in quite while
The night you left I ran a mile
My grieving process skipped denial

Thoughts of you now make me sick
You chose to leave and my love dismiss
Rejected me for another chick
I hurt you bad, but not like this

Thoughts of her now haunt my peace
Am I that bad or is she better?
She was only your side piece
But I guess she loves you better.

So I can’t think and I can’t eat
I have embodied my defeat
No drive or passion in my feet
For you I’ve become completely beat

My soul is hurt , I’m paralyzed
Most of my days my eyes have cried
Until one day I realized
Real Love is God, and not your lies.

It touches a nerve, but without the lows and pain, the highs and passion are not as intense. Love the ending...time heals with faith Well done !

An emotional rollercoaster indeed, been there and had the T-shirt like most but like is a learning curve and with is passing comes wisdom !

Beautifully crafted and expressed in fine poetic form !! 'hats off '
