confused

I'm suffering from a case of confusion

mislead by all of life's illusions 

sent down a pre-destined path

forced to deal with birth's aftermath

walls all around, with one way to proceed

without direction to which path will succeed 

I take a deep breath and continue on this adventure 

endlessly searching within myself i venture ...

opening doors never opened before

hidden rooms i start to explore

confronting demons of an unwanted past

a forseen future that will not last ... 

i utilize my mind ... my greatest weapon

in hopes my horizon will soon start to sharpen

to my surprise comes my heart to defeat

a weakness i've tried to suppress with concrete

as this inner war between body and soul unfolds

i'm shown the grudes i usually tend to hold

am forced to watch with eyes wide open

a distructive future if i don't exchange my token

lost within these invisable walls

i scream and shout while searching the halls

yet there doesn't seem to be any way out

and that's how this case of confusion came about.
