To MidnightA Poem by Eric JamesonA tribute to that time of ethereal night.
You longing of the Night come search no more.
For midnight lurks in humble-essenced shore. Along the meadow, Twilight pale descends. With placid-silver'd moon with it amends. The blissful visions, tinted-halls, combine. With darkness gather'd, Night's own cover, align. Mild-vested spell; deep solemness pervading. Pale orb, o'er the clouds that shroud thee, now evading. Thus midnight's presence dimly peer on sight. Time stops and day doth hinder it's own light. The magic of the Night doth take it's toll. Lay near and feel the midnight's trance on your soul.
