The Prince Died In The EndA Poem by Kim Jimenez"A fairy tale that is awfully twisted, because reality existed"
Once upon a time,
There’s a princess without a dime; Working hard in a castle, Life’s filled with hassle; She thought fairy tale never existed, For reality is awfully twisted; A princess’ indebted life, To her father’s second wife; But found her new beginning, When her heart starts beating; The princess found her prince, Happiness felt ever since; First time feeling like a real princess, Became a damsel in distress, For a prince swept of her feet, Life at last became sweet; But suddenly felt his cold heart, Broke her heart apart; Wipe away her tears, Begun planning facing her fears; Believed no one will save her, Took her things and run nowhere; Abandoned all she has, Abandoned what she was; The sad cruel fate, It’s his prince who opened the gate; Her freedom traded with his life, Her new life from his blood in the knife; An unknown agreement, To free her from torment; The princess live what she intend, While the prince died in the end; A fairy tale that is awfully twisted, To his reality that existed; A happiness that comes with price, A true love that was hidden in goodbyes. © 2020 Kim JimenezAuthor's Note
