The Pain-ter

The Pain-ter

A Poem by Kim Jimenez
"

As her heart felt torture, She painted her future.

"
An emotional painter,
Who paints with danger,
But seems not a stranger,
Because life makes anyone weaker.

Rather than brush holds razor,
A vicious tool as an armor.
Filled his painting with bloody red color,
Flowing like tears in his mirror.

An ill-fated twist,
Where he used his wrist,
A canvas that exist,
Of death he can’t resist.

A fading picture,
Visualizes a painful adventure,
As his heart felt torture,
He painted his future.

The Stygian art,
Where everything ends before it start,
Because his mind plays the razor part,
And his wrist is his heart.

i have seen many poems on this exact subject...but the imagery, rhyme scheme and overall feel of this one is different...

I like especially the last stanza...and last line...

we feel the pain, the desolation in this.
