Kent stops thinking about what has happened the past few days and starts to wonder about what the next step will be for him and the survivors of vault 211.

"

Six in the morning or so John says. It is the morning after the attack and I don't know what to do. First I thought I would take me and John to get the others and take the vault back but I quickly thought against that idea because not only would the raiders take all the scraps of metal they can pry off the walls raiders could still be there and the last thing I want is to get into a conflict with anyone here when this is going to be where I will stay until I get another vault. The door opens and John enters the room. "Your friends will be out the medical station in a couple hours. The one that goes by Damon only has a flesh wound and will be out before Mason, who is awake from a minor concussion." Good news. I figured I should go there and talk with him. "I'll go see them then." I said then left the room to the saloon that I am still sure isn't the best place for me right now but it's the best John could provide for the group. I leave the saloon and make my way to the medical station. Mason is on the third cot and awake. "Some night, right Kent?" Mason joked. "Yeah, you can say that." I said when an unexpected friendly voice greeted me. "I can't believe it!" Damon spoke angrily "All of our guardians, just wiped out in minutes. Raiders don't have that many men or firepower, they had an army waiting outside the vault's main door and some of the guns they brought to the fight ripped our force apart as soon as they fired!" I looked at Damon "I  don't think it was an accident either." I said about to explain what I came up with. "What do you mean?" Damon wondered curiously "Mason and I went to the office and found two guardians and my dad dead and they all had one bullet hole to their head and the area was too clean to be the room a fight took place and guardians don't just die without a fight." Saying that must have sparked something in Damon "Then it was a traitor! We need to go back in the office and find some recordings or anything we can find to see who shot them. Maybe we can find out who opened the door too." Mason decided to have a say in this. "You can't be serious. There could still be raiders in there, that's too much for the three of us to handle." "We're not alone. I have a mercenary with me that will join us." I informed them about John and that having him fight with us is a lot better than being alone to which they agreed so we all left the medical station and got to the room. "Are you sure you want to go back Damon?" I asked just before we got to room 3. "Without a doubt." Damon said firmly. I opened the door and John was cleaning his guns. "Hey, want to help us out?" I asked. He looked up at us then passed me a pistol and two clips. "With what?" He asked after he gave the gun and ammo to me. "We're going to take the vault back." John went wide eyed. "You want to what?" He clearly never thought anyone would try something like this. "Nobody messes with the gunrunners." He said. "So now we have a name." Damon said still wanting revenge. "Yes, they are the best bandit gang around these parts because they took out all the other gangs. Everyone is scared of them." "That changes today." Damon said. John looked at us then nodded. "Alright when do we set out?" Damon looked at his watch "Now is good with me". "I think I'll stay here and stock up on medical supplies." Mason said and sat down on the bed. Damon, John, and I all left the saloon and out of the town.

"The vault only has one way in or out so you can bet that if there's still raiders in there most of them are there." Damon informed as we made our way to the vault. "I don't have any explosives so we have to try to fight them with our guns." John said. Once we got to the vault's entrance we saw two raiders guarding it. "Stop! this is gunrunner territory turn back or we attack you." Damon didn't hesitate and shot them both in head. We walk though the already opened door and like Damon said the place was crowded with raiders. We all got ready for the fight. I went down the stairs to the middle floor and took cover when I saw raiders running down the hall. I shot at them and hit one in the chest. Memories of basic training when I was fourteen came flooding though my mind as I pulled the trigger. Just aim and shoot Kent aim and shoot, I kept thinking to myself. Bullets flew all over the place and I couldn't hear anything that was happening upstairs. I get out of cover and shot the rest of the raiders then continued down the hall towards the office when I got there I saw that it is being used as a information center which was odd since I always thought of raiders as barbarians not intelligent of anything that's not fighting. I went to Mr. Anderson's terminal and typed the password in. As soon as it turned on it was already on the place to open the main door. I click on the security video camera at the corner of the room and watched three hours before I woke up and fast forwarded it until I saw Mr. Anderson shoot the guardians and my dad in the head. I took a step back and just stared at the monitor until Damon burst in the room "What are you doing?" I pointed at the terminal and Damon saw what I saw on repeat "No. We protected him and this is what he does to us?" Damon was more angry now then he was before. "He is not going to get away with this. Come on we need to leave!" Damon led the way out and we were almost out when we saw that Mr. Anderson was standing at the main door. We both took cover. "I should have known you two would be the ones to survive the attack." Mr. Anderson said. "Well you should have stayed out in the wastes. I didn't even check to see who all died." "Your dead! You hear me? I am going to kill you!" Damon yelled at Anderson. "You are not in the position to make threats". Anderson said when he waved his hand in our direction and raiders started shooting. Before we can do anything gunfire started to rain down on the raiders. When we look back we see John with a turret he apparently stolen from the raiders and he was shooting everything out of the ammo containers he had. Damon took that as a cue to start shooting at Anderson who was now fleeing from the vault. "Come on, he can't get away with all he has done!" Damon yelled at me as he chased after him. I ran with him and shot some raiders while running. We make it out the vault just to see Anderson get in a helicopter and fly away. "No!" Damon screamed as he shot at the helicopter. "We need to leave now!" John yelled as he ran past us and we all ran until we got back to the town. "I can't believe we let him slip though our fingers!" Damon shouted when we were back in room 3. "You think he is going to get off that easy? No we will find him than he dies!" I said almost as loud as Damon. "What happened?" Mason asked as he got off the bed. John informed him what had happened. "He couldn't have done it!" Mason exclaimed. "It's true Mase. Me and Damon both saw the recording." I told Mason. "Well he can't just get away with this then." Mason turned to Damon when he said that. "He won't. We just need a trail but we don't have one." Damon was calmer now but still frustraited that Anderson got away. "Actually you do." John stepped up. "I have locations of many gunrunner bases and safehouses. Since Anderson seems to work with them, maybe he will be in one of those places." "We will have to destroy the buildings to make sure he doesn't go there after we clear it." Damon said when an idea came to Mason's mind. "I can make explosives if you guys can get the supplies to make some." We all looked at each other and nodded. "Whatever reason Anderson had for killing everyone in our vault, we'll make it invain." Damon announced. Anderson may believe he's untouchable but we will just see for ourselves soon enough.
