Prepare for Battle

         Prepare for Battle,

                                    Protect you heart with a cold metal barrier,

                                        a barrier between you and love,

                                    the barrier that stops your blood dead in its tracks.

 

                                   Prepare the ripped cloth that will wrap your wounds,

   the bruises left behind will be a reminder

              to guard your heart,

         to be weary of the unrealistic,

               to Never let anyone in.

WOW! This is you're first poem? It sure is good! The stanza:

I really like this write...
I wouldn't change anything..It says it all the way it is.
I like the forceful nature of it.
