Looking Glass

Looking Glass

A Poem by kiki756
"

A song. A work in progress.

"

No one sees
What they want to see
In the looking glass
I see you're beautiful
But you don't see that
I see someone so perfect
You see someone "too fat"
Whatever the hell that means
I don't have a clue

Funhouse mirrors, and parlor tricks
The biggest flaws in the smallest bits
We don't see what others see
We don't see what others see

No one sees
What they want to see
In the looking glass
I see someone so scrawny
But you don't see that
You see someone that's beautiful
I see someone so flawed
Even if the flaws are not
Things that you can see

No one sees
What they want to see
In the looking glass
No one sees what they should
In the looking glass

Funhouse mirrors, and parlor tricks
The biggest flaws in the smallest bits
We don't see what others see
We don't see what others see

No one sees
What they want to see
In the looking glass
No one sees what they should
In the looking glass
Funhouse mirrors, and parlor tricks
The biggest flaws in the smallest bits
We don't see what others see
We don't see what others see

This is so true. Nobody ever sees what everyone else sees them to be. I love the message and I really like the chorus:
"Funhouse mirrors, and parlor tricks
The biggest flaws in the smallest bits
We don't see what others see
We don't see what others see"
It flows so well and the first line of the chorus really captures the meaning to the whole song. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing.
